Description

Star SP200
series printers are compact,
economical dot matrix point of sale
printers. Available in several models,
the SP212 prints single color (tearbar),
SP242 single color with built-in
autocutter, SP216 prints in two colors
(red and black) (tearbar) and SP246 two
color autocutter.
ASCII text printer can be used with DOS
or Windows applications. Uses Windows
"Generic / Text" driver or download
printer-specific drivers (Link below).
Printer is NOT graphics capable.

If you are considering the SP212 or SP242 single color models, we
recommend the
SP500 series instead. The SP500 series is newer, faster, has dual
cash drawer drivers, semi-automatic paper loading, includes ESC/POS
emulation, uses the same consumables (paper and ribbon) as the SP200 series,
comes in dark gray (as well as beige) and costs less.
